Meet Your Cre8Hosts
Hi We’re Mike Hoffman and Kimberly Sizelove. Welcome to cre8stay! Our Renaissance B&B. It’s exciting you’re taking the first step to discover our home—the launching pad to discovering the possibilities of Cambridge and beyond.
In 2016, we met on an online dating platform…each looking for a connection with deep love and joy, and lots of fun, exciting experiences. We are both adventurous and love sharing our time with people from all walks of life. We want to go beyond the typically pleasant, relaxing b&b experience. Let’s create a rich, wonderful experience while you stay here. Alchemy, as we hope to share, can mysteriously/magically/magnificently combine diverse needs, wishes and interests to create uniquely deep and authentic personal experience. Your ideas and sense of adventure can combine with ours as you discover, experience and enjoy. As our guests stay a long time, at least one month and up to a year, your time here will likely be profound for you.
Mike has lots of experience and a fairly broad range of interests, along with wisdom gained from an interesting life of work, learning and adventure around the world. Hospitality, shared with new and old friends, have always been important to him. He’s PASSIONATE about the Cambridge and New England areas with all that’s possible to “cre8” here – that is, what we‘re free to do, see, taste, touch, learn, share and explore. Having lived in Asia, Europe and around North America, he recognizes Cambridge as one of the world’s unusual exploration centers. Being intrigued and driven by two somewhat old yet still truly robust ideas, renaissance and alchemy, he has followed a renaissance-type path, centered around experiential learning, in culture (sculpture, music and painting), culinary (international, experimental and healthy) and sports (aikido, yoga and triathlon). Work has focused around ethical businesses, innovation and international cultures.
Kimberly has spent her life working in the field of international education–teaching, advising, and leading educational programs. Teaching English in Okinawa sparked a dedicated path to working with international students, which eventually lead to living and working in the Netherlands for two decades. Gaining duel citizenship and speaking a second language add to her deep understanding of the challenges and joy of being a multi-cultural citizen. Learning about new cultures, peoples and ideas is exciting! She loves helping you get settled in New England and sharing her insights about culture, health, and fitness.
We hope you find the discovery process fun, stimulating and enjoyable. Whether you plan to teach, research, write a book, launch a new venture, visit family & friends, relocate to the area or just simply vacation, we want to create together with you a magical, enjoyable and learning experience. This may be an adventure or just relaxing. With so much to do and see here, it’s ultimately up to you, along with our help, to make happen.
Let’s begin by welcoming you here to cre8stay. You’ll notice how comfortable and open it is here. You can be free, at ease yet fully energized. You can be open, that is, open-minded and open-hearted, so that you’re open to the adventures that await you here.
See you soon!
